Three weeks to go!! The plays are having their finishing touches added, the tech visits to the theatre have been held, groups are excited in anticipation of performing and now everyone involved needs…. YOU!

Over two days, nine local drama groups will present 10 plays adjudicated by the award-winning Bob Tomson GoDA who has just directed the recent tour of Ghost the Musical.
The groups will compete for 11 trophies, the most prestigious being the Somerset County Shield for the Best Production in Somerset. So please come along and support your local group, your friends and watch the very best amateur one act plays in 2025

The County Drama Festival is the preliminary round of the All-England Theatre Festival, and the winner will go through to the semi-final for the West of England at the Merlin Theatre in Frome on 17th May 2025. The English Final will be the 7th June at Gladstone Theatre, Port Sunlight, Cheshire. The British Final is 4th – 5th July at the Garrick Theatre, Lichfield Staffordshire.
