A message from our Cinderella Moderator

As the curtain finally descends on pantomime groups across the County I would just like to take this opportunity of thanking everyone for the tremendous amount of hard work given to keep pantomime well and truly alive in the West Country. It is always the audiences that matter and it is clearly evident they have enjoyed your productions as much as I have. It has been an honour for myself and the team of adjudicators to have been invited to watch your performances and for this we thank you.

Watching almost 30 pantomimes could be an arduous task for some but I have most certainly enjoyed my travels and witnessing the tremendous talents you have. I applaud each society.

Having to take a year off last season I have to say I am amazed at how the standards and quality has risen in just two years. Unbelievable in fact. I am sure this has made the Cinderella Competition more competitive than ever before. Anyone could win!

Myself and the adjudicators will shortly meet to discuss who the nominations and winners are awarded to and who is going to take home that famous ‘Cinderella Trophy’ at our awards evening. We certainly have our work cut out and the decisions will take up most of the day.

In the meantime I wish you all the very best of luck. Thank you again for keeping the shire entertained and I look forward to seeing you at our glittering awards evening in May.

Nigel
