The wicked Snow Queen captures a boy, Kay, and takes him to her ice palace. Kay's friend Gerda sets out to rescue him, with the unexpected help of her Grandmother, Granny Rose, Handy Andy, the village handyman and Summer, the Snow Queen's good sister.
